RAM-muisti (Random Access Memory) on olennainen osa jokaista tietokonetta, palvelinta ja sulautettua järjestelmää. Se vaikuttaa suoraan siihen, kuinka nopeasti ja tehokkaasti järjestelmäsi suorittaa sovelluksia, käsittelee dataa ja reagoi komentoihin.
